The Maker
Hi, I’m Laura, the maker behind Floriday Creations, LLC.
When I’m not creating, I’m a wife, mom of two grown children, a Nana to 4 grandchildren, a church administrator/bookkeeper, and dog mom to two miniature schnauzers. Since 2020 I have been married to my soulmate Jim, and Floriday Creations is quite literally a home based business. Most days you’ll find me working in front of my PC or in my craft room, although my projects have a habit of overflowing into the guest room or kitchen when I run out of space.
I’ve been working with digital design for more than 30 years, but I’ve always been someone who would rather figure out how to make something myself than buy it already made. Over the years, that curiosity has turned into a craft room filled with a 3D printer, 2 lasers for engraving and cutting, sticker making equipment, book binding tools, a number of different printers, sublimation gadgets and more crafting supplies than I would probably ever admit to owning.
That is really how Floriday Creations has grown. I love taking an idea and figuring out how to turn it into something real. Sometimes it starts as a digital design. Sometimes it becomes a personalized gift, sticker, engraved piece, or 3D printed creation. And sometimes I surprise myself with what I manage to make.
But I have a bigger dream for Floriday Creations.
Someday, I would love to open a small brick & mortar shop where people can not only purchase handmade and personalized items, but also come in and make something themselves. I envision a place where people can learn, create, use equipment they may not have access to at home, and make something special for themselves or someone they love. Helping someone turn their own idea into something real would be just as rewarding to me as making it for them.
Every order from Floriday Creations helps me work toward making that little shop a reality, and I’m incredibly grateful for every person who chooses to support what I’m building.
